Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
The staff and parish of Divine Mercy are praying with you as you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony. The Wedding Liturgy is a beautiful ritual and it is my goal to help you prepare for it thoughtfully and prayerfully. The texts you choose for readings and music will greatly add to the celebration. I know that you will want to plan your liturgy with attention to your family and friends. More importantly, they will be fellow worshipers who will gather and pray with you and for you. Your guests are not merely onlookers but active participants, praying witnesses of this great event in your life and the life of Christ’s Church. To help you select your music for your special day, please refer to https://www.divinemercymusic.org/wedding-program-form.html For your worship aid you may send the list of names with your reading choices, the names of those you've asked to read to me separately in an email. You can also send a photo to include on the cover. This includes: First Reading and name of the reader Second Reading and name of the reader Reader for the Universal Prayer (a.k.a Prayer of the Faithful) Other details about the liturgy may be discussed with our parish wedding coordinator. It is my hope that these materials will be helpful to you in planning your celebration. You may complete the form at the bottom of this page and it will be sent to me. May your wedding day be a spiritual and social celebration of joy for you, your families, and friends. With prayers and best wishes, Ron Vanasdlen Director of Liturgy and Music Divine Mercy Parish Winnketa, Illinois email: rvanasdlen@divinemercynorthshore.org |
